Duplicolor on Grill
I know that there are those that have said they have used duplicolor on their grills and I have a few questions...
1. Did you use primer?
2. How many cans did you use?
3. How long did it take to dry?
4. Any pointers to the process?
I am looking to do this to my grill and want some input.
Thanks

1 no, just sanded with 180
2 just over a can, 5 light coats
3 a couple of hours should do it, but I waited overnight till i put it back on
4 use drop cloth, this overspray sucks to clean up

Sand the grill
1 can of spray should do
LET IT DRY OVERNIGHT. I tried putting it back on after 3 hours and some of it came off when it rubbed up against my grill guard. I'm not too happy about that as I used up all of the can and could not touch it up. I'll fix it next summer when I paint the inside of my hard top.

I got my color matched Duplicolor from Walmart. (1)
I don't think I've seen anyone mentioned a color matched duplicolor, the ones i've seen on here now have black grills.
(1) - I have color match, cause my Jeep is black

if your talking about the truck bed liner stuff they make, black is all you can get, but if you do your black coats first with the truck bed liner and then can find a color close to your JKs then hit it with a color coat while the last coat of truck bed liner is still tacky, and do like one to two more coats of the color over that, if that makes any sense at all
