DuraTrac vs BFG KM2
I love my Duratracs. Due to the amount of wet snow/ice we see in Illinois, I was a little cautious to get a MT for DD use. The Duratrac is an AT, but it is the most aggressive AT I've ever seen, looks like an MT. Also, they are snow/ice rated tires. They have almost no road noise, and have proven to be great in the mud also. I think it is the best compromise if you have to choose.

P.S. Thanks for the complement! I'm rather fond it too!
Can't wait till I can comment on the trail worthiness of the KM2's. Just got mine on 2 days ago and friggen love them. Got the psi around 28 right now and they ride absoluetly great on the road, not harsh at ALL! I can honestly say that they do NOT ride noticable harsher than the duelers that were on for way too long. Seen both treads in person and the KM2 IMO is just the sickest out right now. I was between these, the MT/R Ks, and Duratracs as well. Goodluck with your decision but I think you will be happy either way. With the technology applied in tires these days, I was so impressed with how the KM2s performed on road for a MT. Have had them in the rain and handeled flawlessly. Again, sorry I can't comment on the off road performance of these but I think there have been mpre than enough who have and who have raved about them.
Hey what part of IL are you in? I'm located in Plainfiled (1hr southwest of Chicago).
I am having the same dilemma as many. KM2's or Duratracs's? Leaning more towards the KM2. I have a Sahara so I have the 4.10's with an auto transmission, do you think this will be sufficient enough to push either of these tires? By the way I am in the process of putting on a Tera Flex coil lift with new shocks. Waaaay to excited, have had the jeep since the day they came out in 06.
Love my Duratracs, get them if you can
Buddy of mine went for the Goodyear MT/R Kevlar, and is begining to wonder about the wear he already has on them. Mine still look good and have more miles on them.

I bought 33" duratracs as winter tires and I love them so much, I may get a set of 35s for the summer. They look 10x better in person than in the pics. they are impressive on wet, slushy and snowy road surfaces, i can't wait to get them on the trail.
