Cant wait for myPro Comps Xtereme MTs to wear out so I can go to Dura Tracs. I already bought one as my spare.I love it because it is a Hybrid Tire a cross between a MT and AT. I heard of people getting crazy mileage out of the Duratracs. I laso seen and heard people beating the piss out of them w/o any issues at all. Everyone on hte forum that has them loves them. DuraTracs all the way!!!!!

I really like the duratracs, do great for daily driver and moderate trails. Have almost 35k on them and still looking good.

I stand corrected, Maybe some have 2 ply and some have 3 ply depending on size. Anyway, if u play in rocks or do serious off roading, go with a 3 ply sidewall tire for sure. Be aware that the goodyears with kevlar are also 3 ply but one layer is Kevlar which makes them tougher. KM2s are also 3 ply and so were their old KMs but they say the new KM2s are 33% stronger sidewalls even with both being 3 ply.

I think the perfect tire combo for someone in the north who deals with a lot of snow and does pretty serious 3 season wheeling, I wuold go with either the duratrac and stud them or the General Grabber and stud them for winter and then run either MTRs with kevlar for 3 seasons or KM2s for three seasons.

^ True. It even states it has a 3-ply sidewall right on the tire. It's a pretty serious tire, and has taken a lot of abuse offroad over whatever terrain I've thrown at them.

D rated = 2-ply
E rated = 3-ply

i thought:
D = 8
E = 10

Those are tread plys. Sidewall plys are different from sidewall plys. A 10 ply sidewall would ride like a concrete tire.
