Duratrac vs KM2
Cant wait for myPro Comps Xtereme MTs to wear out so I can go to Dura Tracs. I already bought one as my spare.I love it because it is a Hybrid Tire a cross between a MT and AT. I heard of people getting crazy mileage out of the Duratracs. I laso seen and heard people beating the piss out of them w/o any issues at all. Everyone on hte forum that has them loves them. DuraTracs all the way!!!!!
If u plan on doing rocks I would avoind the duratracs. They are only 2 ply and prob will not hold up in rocks. If u intend to wheel in the rocks, u need to go with a 3 ply sidewall. Again, the duratracs are not for serious off roading, they are fine for DD with weekend mild to moderate trail use a weekend a month or so. If u wheel harder stuff or more often, than go with something more heavy duty.
My Duratrac's are "E" rated = 10 ply and they have a 3-ply sidewall, they hold up real nice on rocks!
I think the perfect tire combo for someone in the north who deals with a lot of snow and does pretty serious 3 season wheeling, I wuold go with either the duratrac and stud them or the General Grabber and stud them for winter and then run either MTRs with kevlar for 3 seasons or KM2s for three seasons.

Played in the rocks all weekend with the Duratracs and couldn't be happier. I knew the sidewall was rumored to be weak and I watched for it specifically. Never was a problem and there was extreme sidewall flex a couple of times around sharp rocks without issue.

I was up against Trail Grapplers, KMs, and Bighorns and this tire held its own. I'm convinced, this will be my tire of choice from now on...
