Default DW & BS afte DP arm install HELP PLEASE!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The other day I had to put some coil spacers on my JK, the shocks were blown and the PO just ran it that way for a while and the front end was sagging quite a bit so I leveled it out, after that my track bar and drag link were not parellel, so I put a drop pittman arm on and now the are both parellel but now i have enen worse BS and DW.

I have checked all the bolts and CA bushings and torque specs. And now my ESP light comes on and is driving me nuts, I dont know what else to do. ANY HELP would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Here are a few pics of TB abnd DR after install of DP Arm.

My lift is a Skyjacker 4" lift

I dont have adj CA's, and im not sure about caster bolts. I had no BS of DW prior to putting coil spacers on. It only started after that.

Change your trackbar bolts and re-torque. And re-center steering wheel.

Did you even take the TB bar bolt loose at axle when you put the spacers in, it looks rusted to shit.

ok, thanks planman. You have gave me alot of things to check. I will loosen ALL the CA bolts, TB and shake the vehicle and then re-torque. I have not tried going that route.

Default Drop pittman

I installed the DP arm to get my TB and DR running parellel with each other, but would it be better to install a TB drop bracket on the frame side to get them running parellel with each other, or does it reall matter????

If you didnt relocated your track bar or use a adjustable bar then it's not long enough. in pic 3 it looks like the track bar is really being pulled on and is not sitting right in the bracket.

I went through this myself. I had bad bumpsteer, and being the newb I am, I thought I would make my drag link and TB parallel visually by adding a drop pitman arm. Bad idea. The DP made my bumpsteer even worse. Don't try to make the actual bars parallel, you have to make the mounting points parallel. The mounting points are parallel already stock from the factory. So changing the mounting points height will change the steering geometry. So if you add a longer DP and DON'T also change the mounting point height of the TB, you will have bumpsteer. So you either need to add a drop bracket to the TB frame side or add a relocation bracket on the axle side to mount it higher so your geometry goes back to parallel. The other way is to put your stock DP back on. Or you can get a drag link flip kit and fix your geometry and roll center and get a better handling ride as well as eliminate the bumpsteer once and for all. I bought the Evo kit and it cured my bumpsteer.
