Dyna bead or not
Just got my 37x12.50x17 ProComps with Walker Evans and can't decide if I should go Dyna bead or "traditional" balancing. We wheel about twice a month but the rest of the time is spent as a DD. If I do go DB should I just get the normal beads or the "off road & aggressive pour packs" that don't require a filtered valve core but they are pour in only?
I would just balance normally with sticky weights. My experience with dynabeads was not pleasant. If you do go with them, make sure you get the ones that don't require the special valve core.
Thanks, I think I'll take at least one wheel and see how it balances, I guess the real benefit of the beads is if you have to pop a ring for some reason there would be no reason to rebalance. I figure if it doesn't take much to balance the first wheel I'll probably stick with the weights...
I used an 8oz bag per tire (35" Nitto trail grapplers on 17" AEV beadlocks) no issues. Almost 30,000 miles without an issue. From my research nittos and toyos seem to balance easier then other tires.
