Which Dynomax exhaust to get? Recommendations? The 39459 or the 39510?

Notice any drone at cruising highway speeds? 65-75? That's one of my concerns.

If you wheel it occasionally but not over too tough of stuff, still get the 39510. If you wheel the heck out of it, like me, its nice to have the muffler out of the way and tucked up under the frame (for safe keeping), so get the 39459.

As for sound, they should both be relatively similar.

Good luck and take advantage of the rebate!
Awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. This IS my DD, and I will be offroading, but I can live with it not being tucked away (for now). Have you guys noticed any drone at highway speeds? (I asked the member above, too ). That was an issue for me in my Titan when I installed a catback system. It was terrible.

Thanks again for the information!

I've got the 39459 on my DD and love it. I'm on the interstate at 75-80mph every weekend and my Trail Grapplers are louder than it. I love that it's relocated and not this huge chunk of metal that stands out in the back. I've been on a Uconnect phone call with the top off and not had one complaint. If it came down to it I'd buy it again. I bought it on amazon and it was priced at 167 roughly. Plus Dynomax is giving the $75 rebate. And they give you 90 day "Safe and Sound" guarantee. Dang, I should work for Dynomax...y'all hiring?

You nailed all the key points!
On the 39459 the only time I "hear" the system is when the transmission down shifts, which can be often. As mentioned the tires and soft top are louder than the exhaust.

I just installed the 39459 system last night. I drove it to work this morning, and like everyone says, you only hear it at higher revs and is virtually silent on the freeway. Very deep sound when you do hear it! I like it a lot so far!

Just one question, how tight should the 2.5" clamps be torqued down?

And for all those wondering about drone, I just drove mine from Michigan to Moab Utah and had three additional passengers...not one complaint with speed from 65-85 mph. And they slept...a LOT, LOL, so its quiet enough to sleep with it in the background on a road trip
The reason I ask about the torque spec, is because I believe one of the clamps that came with my system may be faulty. The system came with a total of 5: 1x for the exhaust tip, 2x with tapered clamps (came in boxes), and 2x similar to OEM clamps (came in baggies).

One of the ones in that came in a baggie, I used to attach the extension pipe to the existing cat. The first clamp I used would not lock the extension pipe in place, no matter how tight I torqued it down; I could still wiggle the extension pipe off. The second one I used seemed to work fine. The rest also seemed to work as intended. I just want to make sure they are all sealed securely to prevent any leaks.

Lastly, I've read that inlet and outlet are marked on the muffler. I couldn't find these markings, so I basically had to guess. Right now its oriented in such a way that you can read the "dynomax" logo/brand from the passenger side.

From passenger side:

Give our Tech Line a call at 734-384-7806 in regards to the clamp.
In regards to an inlet/outlet it can be installed either way as it is a straight through design.
And I got back to your PM with the same "goodntight" as Imposter. LOL.

I installed the rockcrawler version awhile back. It did drone for the first few hundred miles then mellowed out. Sounds really nice now. As others have pointed out, you only hear it at high RPM's. I don't regret it. BTW, I have a 6 spd....
