Default Dynomax muffler ONLY install in stock location

PartsDynomax VT 17956 muffler
3" of 2.5" tube
4" coupler (male female)
90* elbow (male/female)
4 clamps
a 1/2" washer with cotterpin

I built my own 45* because it needed to be very short, there may be a commercial one but for me this was easer.
I also had to cut the stock pipe (the one over the axle) back an inch to get the whole setup to fit in the center of the heat shield.
I reued the stock tail pipe and hanger bar, but I cut the knob off and used the washer and cotter pin.
I welded the hanger bar to the tail pipe section.

I will need to get used to the new sound over the quiet of the stock. If I was to have any complaint at all it would be that there is a pronounced "note" at crusing @2000 RPM, and yes at the moment it is anoying but I'm hopping that I will get used to it as part of the over all sound change.

I will have to drive it for a while to get any real impressions of preformace improvements, both power and milage.

You've got that nice and high, good job. Got any pictures from the back. Can you even see the muffler from the back?

That "note" you mentioned... are you saying there's a little drone at 2k rpms?

ID:	403512 and as for the "note" ...how do you define a "drone?" maybe...I've only driven it for about 6 miles at this scenario, cruse at 65mph/2100RPM, so I cant say for sure if it is a drone or just a new sound that will become the new normal. I have to remember that the stock muffler is extremely quiet by design and this one is not..by design.

It may be psychosomatic but there does seem to be an increase in acceleration in the 3k to 4.5k range.

As for the lights...Click image for larger version

they are actually 12volt track light with a GU5.3 mounted in a PVC tube with an end cap. I soldered a set of wires (+,-) to the bulb and then siliconed the bulb to the PVC, drilled a hole in the cap and stuck the wire thru, sealed it all up.
The "cage" was made from some 3/16 steel flat stock and some 1/4 square rod.
