Default E-brake cable adjustment after lifting help

I have recently installed a 4.5" lift on my JK and would like to know what all of you are doing with the cable afterwards. When installing, I noticed that the plastic cable cover had actually cracked in half at the tub mounting hanger point from the flex from a previous lift. It was also extremely difficult to squeeze the 4.5" coils in without compressing the coils or removing the e-brake cables from their mounts. I did remove the hanger from the tub, but I can only imagine the stress on them when out on the trail and flexing. I've seen some members here that just leave the hanger off of the tub, but I don't think this is such a hot idea, because it will then be hanging and tugging on the large fuel hose running perpendicular to it. Any different suggestions? Thanks.

I installed the RE 4,5" longarm, and the instructions said to remove the hanger and let them hang free. Been so for a while now, and I haven't had any issues so far...

Not an exact answer- but mine came with a drop down spacer/re-hanger: but I think the guy above is correct-- letting it hang *shouldn't* cause any harm. If worried- just get some heavy duty Zip ties and leave some slack....

You could remount your hanger to the frame cross-member and run you cables under instead of having them between the tub and cross-member.

Not sure which cross-member you're talking about, and how to run them under? Sounds like a promising idea though.
