That's an ected up front? How are you liking it? And a 'selectable' detroit auto-locker?

Huh?

The Auburn Ected is selectable locker made by Auburn and isn't a great piece (this past summer I went on a ride where 2 guys had them up front and both failed during the trip). A Detroit is usually considered the Detroit Locker (an automatic locker, not selectable) although at times the Detroit Truetrac gear driven limited slip unit is sometimes (erroneously) called a Detroit. Eaton now builds the Detroit Locker and Truetrac.

hearing people who like their auburns makes me happy. in my mind, its the best sounding locker. selectable locker that acts like a LSD? yes please!

Have not had any problems with my Eaton.
Have only done some snow wheeling since installed.
Took me up some snow/ice hills, has gotten me further down the trail, and more stuck.

What kind of switches do you have for the eaton lockers. Any pics of where the switches were installed inside?

Thanks

I'm not an expert but the lockers can be turned off and on. I bought the Dana 30 built with an auburn in it so we'll see how well it holds up and the Detroit, ill have to see if its the truetrac but I have no negative vibrations, shimmy's, ratcheting noise coming from either end on road. Plus it may save my ring and pinion if the limited slip occurs while heavy on the pedal. Seems to go pretty well up in North Florida style wheeling and the mud down here in the Everglades, turn on...point and shoot.

My Jeep is equipped with power nothing; so the switches are where the power window switches would be.
