I don't run them, but I know if you have the money you WANT to...I used them in motorcycle applications and they are AMAZING!

Yea I know they are great for motorcycles, dirt bikes, and quads. Just wondering if they are worth it.

I've run the same springs with AEV tuned Bilsteins, OME sports and the Elka's. The Elka's transformed my vehicle, I love them! I read a report where someone criticised the harshness but I've had exactly the opposite experience. The ride is so smooth compared to the other shocks. I think they're outstanding.

I have done a whole shwack load of reading on finding the perfect shock for my jeep. I think elka is the way I am going to go. Just my opinion from the reading I have done. I think the elka shock for the jeep is tuned in stride with teraflex because it comes with one of their aftermarket lift kits. I would put elka in the same quality range as fox and bilstein. King's seem to be all the rage but I think king's are only useful if you are going full on coil over and have a crazy budget. Heard many great things about fox and bilstein, but have heard a few negatives as well. From every personal owner of elkin shocks on a jk that I have taken an opinion from, I have yet to hear one negative thing about them. When I get mine, I'll let you know how they are, probably post a new thread for it though because it's going to be a while yet...

Thank you for your first hand experience opinion. I will be going with elka's. You are one more of a few people I have found love the elka's after trying other shocks. Have never heard even one bad thing about elka shocks yet.

I'm an Elka fan.

I have Elkas in my turbo DS650 dune quad, my Outlander 800 Max XT 4x Quad, and on my 2012 Jeep Rubicon with a Teraflex 3" long arm with speed bumps.

The important thing is for the shocks to be properly set up for the way to ride/drive.

My jeep ride is a little stiff but I only have 3000 miles on the lift and have not yet obtained heavier bumpers & winch, which will then cause the ride to soften due to the weight.

I have been running them on my DD for over a year now and love them. I went from the Rancho 9000XL's to the Elkas. They ride nice with the Plush Ride springs. Realy nice ride, and look cool!!! I have 14,472 miles on the shocks as the Jeep sits now and no complaints.
