Hey, I'm pretty sure my neg. battery cable is loose, I'm able to pull it off the terminal by barley pulling on it.

I went to go tighten it but I can't figure out how to tighten the ring around the terminal?

The nut on there looks like it just holds down the winch neg. cable. Or does it tighten the clamp around the terminal? I didn't want to mess with it if I didn't have to, thanks

The nut should tighten the clamp around the terminal. You need to put the negative wire from the winch on the other bolt that's on the battery cable. I did the same thing when I first installed my winch too

its a good practice to lightly tap the clamp down w/ a hammer and then tighten the nut.

I put the winch ground cable on the stud just in back of where you hooked it up. I first connented it where you had it and in time the treminal got loose. If you look at the nut and terminal the nut is tapered at the end so when you tighten the nut it causes the terminal to squeez the battery post. The winch cable there wont let it do that

On a side note, that looks to be a battery off the newer model JK. My 2010 terminal looks completely different. It has a side lug for tightening the battery terminal, and a top for accessories and the like.

I was having problems with my jeep after installing an spod. My gauges would freak out on the freeway - I was convinced I had an electrical gremlin...tuned out to be a loose clamp. I too could not figure out how too tighten them. I finally squeezed them with a huge channel lock plier, and tightened the bolt down. No more gremlins :-)
