whenever i accelerate in 1st gear i keep getting this stupid engine knock like im close to stalling but im going between 10-15 mph so i know this is not the case i have tried everything?? it usually last just a split second when im still going from a stop and i am accelerating. i have the superchips 87 octane tune installed could this be the culprit? i also noticed that im having a slight exhaust leak in a couple places on my muffler idk if this would cause a problem im also not throwing and codes so idk???

Why don't you uninstall the superchip, so you can either blame or eliminate that at least.

 

my jeep has only pinged on mobil fuel and superchips 93 tune. Once i get some citgo fuel in it, the pinging goes away. Mobil fuel is heavy on detergents but I don't know if that would have an affect on it.

 

Same here with the Mobil on my 2010 JK 2-door. Pings-o-plenty on Mobil, pretty much any octane. With Shell, none (usually 87, sometimes 89)
