Default Engine Swap

Does anyone have a rounded estimate total price it would cost to do a v8 engine swap?

More info is needed. Do you want a crate engine or one from a wreck? Auto or standard? Are you installing or having the work done for you?

Where would one find one from a wreck that's still in great shape?

Take a look at Burnsville and AEV. I saw the swaps being pretty expensive last I looked. Like the price of a newish car.

I had mine done at AEV. Total price was over 20k for engine, transmission, and everything else that you will need to make it run. If you do it yourself you will save over half.

What else did you have to do? I'm assuming you had Dana 44s at least already.

You will save a good chunk of change pulling the motor and tranny from a wrecked truck
