I think your money will go farther with some of the aftermarket companies.

If you mean are rails/sliders worth it, the answer is a resounding YES. First time you're leaning on your sliders rather than a door, the cost will seem insignificant. Also they have a secondary benefit (some would say primary) in that they can also double as a step.

Like Mark stated, unless you can procure the Mopars for a really good price, you might want to consider other aftermarket sliders - LoD, Shrockworks, Poison Spyder, EVO are some favorites.

added benefit of the sliders is being to step up on them when managing the top. disadvantage is when stepping in and out of your Jeep, you will tend to drag your leg across the bar and get dirty if you are not careful. I have the MOPAR enhanced sliders and like them but honesty don't ever plan to slide over any rocks, just like the funciton and look of them.

I have them on my unlimited and love them. They make a small step when needed to get to the top. They are a little pricy, but very well built

i like the look of them. Very OEM+. I have been also trying to decide if they are worth twice the price of the stock rubicon rails.

I realize for the price there are many aftermarket rails that may be stronger. I have looked at all of them, and every time i decide on one, i look at what install is like and it turns me off.

Im not usually one to shy away from a somewhat difficult install, but for some reason rails that are hard to put on are pissing me off haha

I dont want to drill holes into the body.(more holes to rust).. i dont mind welding to the frame. and then i just keep ending back at these enhanced rails and then try to be ok with the nearly $600 price tag

nah, not worried about something cheaper or more expensive. trying to stay away from exactly what you are saying. dont want to buy something put them on. and realize they suck and return or sell them.

ill probably end up with these mopar ones. I want to see someone who has abused them though. i wanna see how they hold up.

I was in the same situation as you. I looked forever for rocker rails that I liked and always went back to these. But the price kept me away for a while. I ended up getting them because I knew I really wouldn't be happy because these were the ones I liked first. I bought mine from QT and they came with the back bracket bent at an angle to where I could not install them myself, so had to have the dealer do it. Not sure if it was QT or Mopar
Anyway, I really like the look and protection of them, but have not actually taken them out and beat on them. Seems like they would hold up. If the part were to come at the correct angles, it would be a very easy install, two people but easy. No drilling or welding required. I say go for it!

I was T boned by a car doing about 50mph, hit mid jeep to rear, picked me up and spun me 180 degrees. Just scratched the rail. Repainted it after the bodywork on the sheet metal was done and put it back on. If it wasn't for that rail, there woulda been waaayyy more bodywork needed.
