Default Enough lift?

I just got my new 08 Unlimited and it's time for the wheels, tires and lift. I ordered the following:

ProComp 7089 17" wheels
BFG 35" KM2 tires

The real question is the lift. The guy a my local shop is recommending a Skyjacker 2" Poly Value Suspension System with a set of Skyjacker Softride Hydro shocks. He says 2" is enough, but it seems like most people with 35's go with 3". What's the general opinion, will 2" be enough?

2" will not be enough. at least, not without some rubbing issues. i would recommend that you save some money, get something like a teraflex 2.5" budget boost and add a 1" body lift like performance accessories or MORE makes. you can pretty much do the whole thing for about $350 and it will perform very well.

Or you could go 6inches and flat fenders, so your ready for 38's after your 35's wear out

Hmmm, I don't think I can lift my bulldogs that high. I'd need a ramp.

A TeraFlex 2.5" coil kit would be perfect for your JK or even a 3" kit.

Any photos "at rest"? I'm trying to get an idea of how much room there will be each way.
