Default esp on 2" lift

Not sure if this is the place to ask this question, but here it is. I recently installed a 2" FULL TRACTION SPACER LIFT ON MY 08 UNLIMITED. I took it for a spin and my esp kept coming on at very slight turns. My steering wheel was a quarter turn but going straight. I got my front end realigned and the esp came on once. Is there something else I need to do since the install.

Default Esp

Hey,

Yea happens usually on a gradual turn, esp comes on and tries to break for you. There is a fairly lengthy thread here somewhere on the subject. Some say a flash to the computer will help, some say their esp cable is rubbing etc. Ive only had it looked at by 1 dealer and they told me "Tough shit you lifted it, here is an instruction sheet how to disable the ESP" ... so yea I can disable it but its not a perm. solution.

lookup the 'basic do-it-urself jeep jk wrangler front end alignment' on project-jk.com... most say that works

Sounds like you need to recenter your steering wheel. It's pretty simple to do and only takes a 15mm socket or wrench.

Thank You for your input. It seems that the problem is fixed at this moment. Now for bigger tires.

Seems like these smaller lifts vary a lot. I have a 2.5" with no problems, but I hear many other have to install worlds of extra gear to avoid death wobble and various other problems.
At least the problem was solvable.

Just adjust the Front Trackbar. You will need a 15mm wrench or socket to loosen the trackbar adjuster.
