Default ESP BAS Problems after wheeling

So after leaving rausch creek last nite, my esp started to freak out...i have never had any issues with it ever before, after it flipped out just a lil bit the ESP BAS light on the dashboard lit up and stayed lit....i see in the manual that it says if this happens to take to dealer, i had to drive home five hours and tomorrow morning have to drive to new Hampshire for work which is a good long haul for me. What could have caused this, i looked underneath quickly and saw nothing wrong.....

I will say my that my steering wheel is very off center after wheeling it. could this be causing the problems?

after driving the almost 5 hours, it seemed to drive just as it usually does, and this was rainy/sleety conditions the whole way...

any suggestions??? I wish i had a day i could take it in tomorrow....but i just dont..... should i bite bullet, get rental, or not worry about it?

Someone else may weigh in here, but you may have to disconnect the battery to actually reset the ESP BAS. I messed mine up yesterday too and will be doing the same thing as you. Good luck.
