Default ESP BLD ABS ?'s for a 07 Rubicon

Couple of newbie questions regarding this - i've read many of the threads but am a little confused.

All I can say is that I hate the ESP, comming from the TJ world since 99, I just can not get used to it.

I see that I can pull the fuse in slot J6 and that will diable ESP, ABS and BLD and that there is also a TSB availabe to have the dealer reflash and then the ESP can be disable but it will still keep the ABS. Do I have that part right?

In 4H the lockers are not engaged, do I have BLD and if so is there anyway to friggin disable it?

In 4L -if I do not have the lockers engaged will BLD engage?

Can the reflash eliminate BLD ?

As I understand it, and as my experience shows, BLD (brake lock differential) is always active unless 1) in 4HI you hold the esp button for 5 seconds (when in park or neutral) or 2) in 4LO in a Rubicon if you engage the lockers.

To get rid of BLD, the two options you mention will work. By the way, BLD is great on rocks and stinks in mud and sand.

I just re-read the TSB and it says -

The ESP permanent disable feature does not disable the vehical anti-lock brakes (abs) or the brake assist system (BAS) when the feature is implemented per this service bullitan repair proceedure.

So does tha mean with the ESP off, I'm still not going to be able to spin the tires to get thru all the mud I wheel in?

It might not shut off completely, but I think it makes it alot less sensitive. Ive only ever noticed it in 2wd going up loose gravely hills. I dont wheel in alot of mud, but the few times I have. I had the ESP off in 4 lo and didnt notice it come on at all. I had lots of wheel spin But then again I can spin the tires in 2wd and not have it come on either as long as Im still in control.

Thanks - after reading a few more threads - I'm think I'm going to go with splicing the wire and installing the toggle switch to disable all of the computer "nannies" when I'm offroad and flip the switch back and leave it all "stock" when back on the road.
