Does that fix affect the ABS?

Does the vehicle feel unsafe? ( What could be worse than premature ESP)

Where is the writeup I am open as there is no factory fix as of now. I assume it is reversable when there is a fix.

Looking forward to your response

You have gone beyond their max in both suspension and tire size, so it is not their problem anymore. In fact, they would almost certainly deny any problem at all and say the system is working exactly as designed...

If there were a bunch of people with stock suspension and stock 32" tires having this problem, then they might consider looking at a fix.
There is a "factory fix" for this problem and it was posted in another thread recently and the OP of this thread was posting there as well.

The '08 models have the ability to completely disable and re-enable the ESP and the instructions on how to do so are either in your manual or on a yellow "addendum" card in the packet. Perhaps this can be done in the '07 models, though I'm not sure.

Rather than hacking a switch into place to disable it, why not use what DC built in?

Disabling ESP for Modified Vehicles (4WD Models Only)

Vehicles modified with larger tires and/or suspension lifts may experience
early ESP activiations as compared to a non-modified production vehicle
depending on lift size, tire size, suspension changes and/or driving habits.
If early ESP activiations are exerienced while driving a modified vehicle,
the additional ability to permanently turn off ESP is available. A steering
wheel/ESP button maneuver must be performed to permanently disable
ESP and defeat the functinality of the ESP switch. repeating the procedure
will return the system to normal ESP operation and restore ESP switch functionality allowing ESP "Partial" or "Off" modes.

The following precedure will disable (re-enable) ESP functionality in the vehicle.

1. Shift the transfer case into the 4H range position.

2. Turn the steering wheel until it is centered and the wheels are pointed straight ahead.

3. Cycle the ignition key OFF to ON.

4. Wait approximately five seconds for the system bulb check.

5. Turn and hold the steering wheel one-half turn to the right (clockwise).

6. Press and hold the ESP OFF button for seven seconds.

7. Turn the steering wheel back to center, and turn and hold an additional one-half turn to the left (counterclock wise).

8. Press and hold the ESP OFF button for seven seconds.

9. Turn the steering wheel back to center.

10. Press and hold the ESP OFF button for seven seconds.

11 Cycle the iginition key to OFF.

After performing the ESP disable procedure correctly, "ESP OFF" will be displayed in the odometer for approximatelly 12 seconds each time the ignition is moved to ON. Repeating the ESP disable procedure will re-enable normal ESP operation.

Does this work with the 07 as well? I have no intention of doing this just wondering.

Good question. This was actually in the manual of my fathers '08 but was on an addendum card for my '08.

Worth a try?

GRRRRRR!

Nothing personal, but I really hate it when folks just assume that speed is the cause of the ESP going off. Mine used to go off all the time in cloverleafs at ridiculously low speeds. After I had the dealer re flash the computer, I can take the same cloverleafs at 10-15 MPH faster than before and no ESP twitches at all. No screeching tires or wheels slipping at the higher speeds. So, I KNOW it wasn't a speed issue. For some it may be, but certainly not for all.

Judging by the number of folks who have the problem and the number that have not had this issue with and without lifts, I have to think that maybe there is/was a bad flash put into some of these vehicles from the factory. Mine was immediately better after the re flash.
