Default ESP Light after lift

I just finished my RC 2.5 Coil lift w 35s this weekend and have around 100 miles on it. I never had to mess with the Steering wheel alignment at all, never saw an issue. I have noticed now when leaving work I have tom go around a really sharp exit ramp to hit he highway and twice my ESP light has came on and trac control has kicked on around the ramp when it's dry out . Any Advice???

My Jeep did this when I had a 2" superlift BB some. Now that I have the 3" teraflex I cannot make it do it. I thought with more lift it would do it more, but I guess all the adj. track arms and control arms has everything perfect. I third checking the steering wheel though.

Remeber you have lifted your center of gravity. I experienced the ESP kicking on with a stock JK if I went too quick around a tight turn. With the center of gravity lifted, you will get a little more roll towards the outside of the Jeep when going around a sharp turn. The ESP is designed to sense this and apply braking to the appropriate tires to reduce the possibility of a roll. My recommendation is to slow down a bit. Then again I am not driving your Jeep. Only you know if you are going too fast.

I'm up about 4"s now, and with my suspension geometry all sorted out via track bars, lower control arms and centering the steering wheel, I have absolutely ZERO issues with body roll around corners setting off my ESP....lifted or not, so long as everything is set up appropriately there shouldn't be any issues with normal road driving

Lower frt ctl arms did it for me too, no issues now, I gotta push it really hard in a tight cloverleaf to get it to go off, so hard that the esp should work the speed I was going. Used to go off when doing half the speed can do know.

Thanks for all your replies guys Even though it drives pretty straight I guess I can mess with the Steering wheel alignment a bit. I would be kinda disappointed that when I asked RC if there was ANYTHING else I would need to run this setup with 35's they said NO, maybe just a body lift, that they would have not mentioned a possible issue with ESP or needing a front trackbar

In a world of custom coilovers and 6" longarm kits and 40" tires.... 2.5" probably does not seem like much to you... BUT, go look at a bone stock Jeep at the angle of the control arms and track arms and stuff. Check it with an angle finder if you can. Look how much everything is changed by that tiny bit of height. The caster on your front end is a lower number than stock too. Even though in JK-land 2.5" doesn't sound like much.... it really is. Go tell these nissan or toyota guys you just lifted your vehicle for under $150 and expect it to perform exactly the same....

After having both a BB, and a taller coil lift with adj. track arms and control arms. I can tell you if I went back to a BB again I would add adj. track arms and lower control arms, AT THE LEAST to my 2-2.5" BB lift. I did not realize that my steering had a "flighty" feel, until I installed the control arms that corrected my caster. My Jeep also used to pull to the right when I slammed the brakes... Now it stops just as straight as it drives. If you notice the guys with OME lifts that only want 2-2.5" of lift are running adj. parts. It is because they want the best drive available. Don't you? It is your vehicle, your safety, your money... but I would look at upgrading at least lower front arms and track arms when money allows. Just my 2 pennies. You may also want to check brake lines and other things that can be effected by changing ride height.

Thanks Man . I will have to check on all this stuff. Anyone else running the RC 2.5 coil lift and have this same ESP problem?
