Default evap canister rattling?

Guys,

When I hit the canister with my hand it sounds like rocks bouncing around in there...is this normal?

The evap canister is filled with charcoal to absorb gas vapor. If you're not having any issues, throwing codes or anything, I wouldn't worry about it.

Im not worried...it's just annoying when you can hear it over bumps and such.

Nothing like a new vehicle making noises from the get go!

Its almost embarrassing when people ask you what's wrong with your Jeep ....sounds like a can of marbles bolted underneath. ..lol

Like what was already said, if no codes, then no problem. I guess you could try to take it apart and quiet it but then I'm sure you WILL have codes and you could buy a new one with no rattles maybe? Let it be....Jeeps are not quiet nor soft riding. Enjoy,

Default Mine rattles too

Maybe they should have used thicker steel to stop the vibration
