Default Evap relocate vs Evap skidplate

Pros and Cons,

start with pros and cons for relocate, then skidplate.

this question is for everybody please share your idea,

:relocate: pro-seems like you get more clearance, con-might lower book value
:skidplate: pro-seems easy to insatll, con- cost ...........

i don't have one yet, but my buddy j.k.livin he got his rror skidplate for his evap and it is beefy and looks sharp. he was telling me that he's almost confident that you could jack your jeep up on that skid plate and not have any damage. i woudln't advise this of course, but just sayin.

I left mine in place and went with a river raider full evap skid... Figured why relocate if I can leave it where it is and protect it.....

Relocating would give you a little more clearance (can't hit what isn't there) and some aftermarket mufflers require it which in return would the give you the ability to also enlarge the storage compartment.

Using a skid plate can add protection for other parts and less worries about warranty from dealership.

looks good, and i suppose it protects the pipe and shaft as the same time

I did the skid plate from Poison Spyder. It was powdercoated and ready to bolt up. Easy install but you may need a crowfoot wrench to tighten one bolt.

Probably not a good idea to cut and splice the evap lines.

It is real stout and I doubt that it will ever be a problem.
