Default Every Time...

It seems that every time I get close to getting some tires, I hear something bad about them. I was gonna get the pro comp mt's (the originals), but I keep having some people saying something negative about them....

Anyone who can back this up and say something good about them?

They are old technology.. I have heard they are a little noisy.. especially when not rotated regularly... I reccommend the Xtreme MT from Procomp... I have had them for 8k miles already they are quieter than most all terrains, ride extremely smoothe and they look amazing... the side wall really sets the tires off... i have not heard one bad thing about them at all! I am also running a 35 inch tire on 17 inch rim... any questions pm me! or just post back up

I have owned a lot of mud terrains, I almost went with the regular pro comp mt's too but once i saw these tires i fell in love... and trust me they are amazing off road.... they are awesome in all conditions, snow, mud etc

I have the XTreme M/T's as well, 35x12 on 17" wheels. They look *fantastic* btw, get compliments everywhere I go. They are noisier than stock, but I dunno, for some strange reason I love the sound, actually drive with the radio off and the windows down most of the time now. Great off road performance as well. Just make sure you run them at a reasonable PSI (26 or so).

Seriously man, take a look at your post history and see how much fence sitting you have on these. I know they are pricey and you dont want to make a bad decision, but cmon man. I know off the top of my head about 5 different posts on these from you

I am not coming aboard you, but seriously you will find in the "Jeep" world that you have limitless choices. Stick to your guns, get them if you like them. There is ALWAYS going to be someone who says something good and bad about a piece of kit.

I say get em....I wish I could afford them....

I am going to have to side with Dyolfknip here. You need to just pull the trigger. No matter what you buy, there is always going to be someone with something bad to say about the part. Bottom line they are tires, and worst case is you don't like them and get something else and sell those to make up the difference.

Look at it this way...no matter what you choose, they will be better than what you have.

Yeah, I understand that there will always be something else, just want to do it right the first time. Sorry for all the different posts...just had some different questions regarding them....

Maybe I do need someone to slap me and straighten me out!

Seriously, I have found more information on this site than I know what to do with. Everyone is very helpful, sometimes it's overwhelming. I might just go with them...or upgrade to the xtremes. One or the other.

strike2dr,

What kind of mileage you think you will get on the tire wear?

Also, how much should I be able to get from my other tires? Only 1400 miles on them.
