Default EVO gusset clearance?

I will be welding up my EVO gussets's soon and noticed that at full lock back of my hub, my speed sensor bracket will hit the gusset. Will it hit the bracket when everything is put back together and/or should I take material off the gusset?

I ran into a similar issue with mine and when I spoke to Mel directly, he advised trimming a little will not take away from the strength of the gusset itself - they are incredibly strong. I would say just trim a little, or maybe even bend that flimsy bracket a little thats holding the sensor so it clears the gusset.

My evolution gussets are hitting my springs. Couldn't get a reply from them in that.

He's correct. When I installed mine, I had the same issue. Just ground a little off the bracket that holds sensor wire, not the gusset. Didn't take much at all to make it clear.

Mine hit the springs at the bottom as well. I am not concerned. It really doesn't affect the articulation of the spring nor causes any negative issues. Don't worry about it.

Depending on who's makes the coils and how the gusset was welded on you might need to trim a little off the gusset. As mentioned its not a major deal.

Do you have a pic of it hitting the spring? Just curious!

A little salt and dirt covered but you can see it.

My spring barely hits the teraflex gusset I have on mine. I've looked at it a few times and seems that there are no issues. Haven't been wheeling lately though.
