Use a ratchet strap from drivers side rear door latch to the tailgate latch.

On the passenger side use a ratchet strap from rear door latch to rear door latch around the back. Harbor freight sells a 4 1/4" hole saw for the taillights.

Awesome advice on the straps and hole saw. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to make my grinder cut a clean circle that tight.

the hole saw is slightly smaller than it needs to be, the hole needs to be 4 1/2". This will get you close. You might need a sawzall to help cut some of the left over pieces.

Be careful the hole saw cant catch and kick on you

Give me a ring or email if you have any questions

I just finished test fitting mine, now they are out getting powder coated. The ratchet strap works great. I bought a MARSON GIANT THREAD SETTER 325-RN to set the nutcerts, and practiced on a old car hood with extra nutcerts from Fastenal. Using that tool, I didn't spin a single one. I should have got the hole saw, but instead scribed the line and used a Dremel tool. It turned out fine, but the hole saw would be worth the time saved. The lights are easy to wire, mounting the heat sink thing could be a pain in the butt with the small opening. I used some JB Weld to attach to the inside instead of the supplied screws, I hope that will hold it...
