Default Evo rockstar info.

Hey all. I guess I'm the first to discover this, or just the first to post it.
I have had evo rock stars on for a while now, and when I installed them I noticed the control arm bolts didn't come through as much due to the sandwiching of the evo rockstars on the mount. The nut tightened down to just after the end of the bolt... It's been like that for miles and miles now. No problems at all.
Today I put on the teraflex track bar bracket and that sandwiches on the lower control arm bolt also.. Well guess what!!!.... Now the bolt doesn't even make it all the way through!
So what I had to do, which in hindsight I should have done with rockstar install, was get longer stronger bolts!!:yep:
So the bolts I got from hardware store are grade 8 9/16"x5" flat washers and 2 locknuts.2 bolts.. I finally fixed both sides.
Just throwing this info out for u before u got the track bar bracket on and realize u need to get new bolts.

Honestly evo should include or tell u, or recommend longer bolts. I don't think anyone is aware of this. I am in no way mad, it's the nature of the beast. Sometimes stuff just doesn't go smooth. I saw a guy once struggle for 20 min to get a hubcaps on!!

So this is merely informative info for fellow jeepers.
If anyone wants a pic I can take some of the final result. Not putting the old bolts back in though.

Cool
Its Good to hear The EVO MFG product, "Rock Stars" high clearance relocation bracket worked Correct and operated as designed when installed on your vehicle.

EVO MFG is Good, but even they cant forsee what other Bolt on mods you have instore for your rig in the Future.
Great info and way to make proper adjustments when stacking aftermarket accessories.

You stated that you used 5/16"x5" bolts, I assume you mean 9/16x5" bolts as that would be the correct diameter. 5/16" is much too small.

Yes 9/16 bolt. Made a typo. I was figuring in the back of my head that I would need the longer bolt.
