I can only compare to my old 2.5" TF coil lift with Bilsteins and well the MC blows it away.
Did you get exactly 3.5?

I didnt measure when I put my 2.5" TF on and I didnt measure after the 3.5" MC lift. I spoke to MC before buying it and they design it so its a true 3.5" gain. They calculate some weight in for someone running after market bumpers front/ rear and spare tire if I remember correctly. Your best bet would be to call them direct and ask.

Why do they "suck"?

You can use this and measure so that way you'll know for sure.

I'm guessing you will be hard pressed to find someone that has actually ran both of a fair comparison. Our coils are very soft, they will give you a very smooth ride paired with a good set of shocks. Bilstein or Rancho will do just that. If you can afford Kings they are the way to go.

If you are towing, you might feel the need to throw in some coil spacers to add a little height.

A dual rate coil gets stiffer as they are compressed, so it will hold up better. However there's downsides to this as well.

Because they don't stay in their spring perches as well as progressive coils do and they ride more stiff. Call it whatever you want to call it. EVO Plush Flush Mush SLUSH coils.

User error?

All the ones I have seen/heard about have had great reviews.

You dont know much do you? So are they stiff or slush?

This can happen with ANY COIL if the shocks are to long. Progressive, linear it does not matter.

Please know what you are talking about before you post.
Progressive springs have a significantly longer free length (droop) than single rate springs - in any rational range of spring rate. So 'progressive' springs, all else being roughly equal, will tend NOT to drop out where a similar linar rate spring would.

Will you disagree with, MR. Know IT ALL?
