You would have to drive 2 JK's setup exactly the same except the draglink setup to be able to see which feels/handles better for you. TeraFlex uses a stronger than stock forged draglink that belongs to TeraFlex and not a stock right hand driver OEM draglink. Typically TeraFlex has seen more failures from trackbar brackets that do not have a u-bolt around the axle tube. I have over 30,000 miles on my JK with the #1600440 kit and a stock front trackbar bracket with ZERO issues with the stock brackets.
Great info. But I just installed your front Trac bar axle bracket with adjustable Trac bar. I have a little bump steer shimmy. Wanted to know if I got the draglink it would help ? Since I have this set up I really don't need the entire kit just the drag link itself right?

TeraFlex doesn't make a front trackbar bracket yet. Can you post a pic of what you have? Did you get a trackbar drop bracket? TeraFlex can sell you everything else you need to complete that.

Also the #1600440 was designed for taller suspensions systems. You can use this with a TeraFlex 3" or taller systems.

Is an aftermarket front trackbar necessary to do the flip kit? Thanks

If your running a tall enough lift kit that requires a flip kit, a adjustable front trackbar would be a good thing to have. Having a adjustable front trackbar is the only way to perfectly recenter the front axle.

Maybe it's a breach of forum protocol for you TeraFlex........but you really need the TeraFlex "Monster Forged Adjustable Trackbar"! There is no other substitute, I've been running one since the JK left the dealer's lot. Have yet to see another one compare to the strength of that thing.

Oh yeh!!! I drove it back from Cali Friday night! That thing is just badass, like a lifted sports car. I have never been so happy with a vehicle and a shops quality work. I drove it all weekend and then unfortunately had to hit the east coast this morning for work (in the air flying at the moment ) I'll be doing some finishing mods on it this weekend I hope!

Thanks! I would hit up our awesome vendors here for a deal on one. The only thing that I can do right now is the trackbar exchange/upgrade program.

Technically, some flip kits adjust the stock trac arm higher negating the "need" for an adjustable bar. I however, added the incredible Teraflex Monster adjustable trac arm to my AEV steering flip kit.
