Evolution Coilover System!
I am current using a Teraflex 4" short arms lift kit with a set KING 2.5" shocks, however, the Evo coilover system is my next goal, but I only want to upgrade my jeep's suspension to Evo's coilover system on the front, and leave the rear as right now. Is this possible? If the move is okay, which one of the coilover systems is suitable for my current 4" suspension lift, the 12" coilover or the 14" one? Thanks!
Thanks for the reply! I am also using the eight control arms from Teraflex, and my tires are 37" MTR/Kevlar, but I also have a 1" body lift, will the BL affects the front coilover setup? Are you still using the 2.5" KING shocks with regular coil springs on the rear? What is ride like with front coilover system, does the feeling like the coil springs with Teraflex speedbump bump stops?
By the way, is this product link the right one for me? http://www.offroadevolution.com/stor...d=EVO-COILOVER

I can't say personally because I've never run both setups. That would be a good question for WOL since he's got both Teraflex Speedbumps as well as the King Air Bumps. As for the best way to describe the front coilover ride it would be like imagining hitting a pot hole that normally jars you to the bones...then imagine hitting that same pot hole and wondering where'd the pot hole go. It's sort of like that the coilovers fill holes and you glide right over them. With the 2.5 Kings in the rear you get a subtle bump as the rear travels over the pot hole. With my 5100 Bilsteins it used to feel like a mule kicked you in the back of the head
. Your link is good...good luck and feel free to pm with additional questions if you have any.
Thank you very much for your info. From Evo's website, the price of front coilover system with 12" King coilover shocks is around $1500, and I saw an another one was called front coilover double throwdown system, but the price is like double the first one, the different I can see is that double throwdown has got more shocks than the regular coilover system. Is there any other differents? Can I do the regular coilover first, and then upgrade them with more shocks like double throwdown system in the future, or the regular coilover and the double throwdown are two completely different system?
