Default evolution rear fender armor help!

Ok so I just got my evo offroad rear fenders. i got everything mocked up and my holes drilled. the problem is I cant get the nutserts to crush so they wont come out. they tell you to use a bolt and nut. you keep the bolt from moving and tighten the nut. this should pull the threaded part of the sert in causing it to bulge. my issue is that the bolt just backs out and the nutsert just keeps spinning. i tried holding one in the vise and used the recommended method and can get it to start bulging but it is very hard to do. also this wont work because once it bulges you cant fit it back in the drilled holes. im wondering is there a trick to this? any ideas on how to keep the nutsert from spinning once its pressed into the body? i have been working on it all day and am extremely frustrated. any help would be great.

Best bet is to go to Harbor Freight and ask them for a nutsert tool. They're about 10 bucks.

Also, those nutserts need to fit tight, you need to hold the nut thats on the bolt and tighten the bolt itself

1/2" drive air impact on low with the insert tool lubed will make short work of them. Because of this, I'm not afraid to mess with them anymore, but I do have one I need to replace on my sliders.

How are those Evo parts?

If you get the harbor frieght tool, make sure you lube the threads every time you thread it into a nutsert. I figured this out at the end of an install, after fighting with it for a couple of hours. Its 200% easire lubing the threads than not.

I just went through this with TF sliders. Get the tool at Northern Tool for $22. If the nutsert is spinning but the threads are good you can reversthread the nutsert tool and then tighten it. To get a nutsert out used the same siz drill bit you used to drill the hole and drill the head off of the nutsert.

the tool you are looking for is a threaded rivet nut wrench
