Default Excited!!!

hi all! i'm so excited about all my recent purchases! I can't wait to install them

33" mickey Thompson Baja mtz/mickey Thompson classic III wheel combos on a teraflex 2.5" coil/shock lift. (i even got the exhaust spacers)
and a superchips flashpaq.
the wheels and tires are backordered from quadratec till next week. and i got an aFe scorpion hi tuck exhaust that's backordered till august.
so now i just have a aFe stage 2 intake installed.
gonna do the exhaust extensions tomorrow.
and when the wheels/tires come in, i'll do the lift and tune the jeep with the flashpaq.

i'm just so excited about it all.

i'll have to do some before and after pictures. the pictures i have now, jk.com is saying they're too large.

I'd be excited to. You can use that Flashpaq with your current setup and use it over and over as many tunes as you wish as you change your jeep up.

Well I messed up. I am planning on putting the exhaust extensions on today after work. Well I thought I'd use the oppurtunity to at least break off the tab that's welded on the exhaust intermediate pipe so the Y pipe can slide into it.
Did like the instructions said and used a hammer and chisel. Well that spot weld was on there better than I thought, cause the tab pulled up a little hole In the exhaust now. And I'm afraid to hit the tab off any more. So to get a grinder up in there I have to take the skid plate off. And then grind the tab off.
I was hoping to avoid that. So hopefully when its off and the extensions are on, the Y pipe will slide back far enough that the hole will be covered.

It bugs me now that it has to sit that way until I get home to fix it.

My recommendation to anyone installing exhaust spacers: don't use a chisel and hammer. Just use a grinder. That weld is on better than they make it look.

Haha. I did the same thing! I tried to use an air chisel. No bueno. Had to get out an angle grinder to clean it up.

I don't feel so bad now that someone else did the same thing. The pipe covered up the hole after you slide it rearward right?
I hope the afe exhaust will cover up the hole too. It should.

I completely removed my y-pipe and ground that thing off. I also chopped off about 2" off the end to ensure it would slide in far enough.

How easy was it to snake that thing out of there? Did you have to take the skid plate off?
I'd like to do this since I have to unbolt everything anyways. And I'd like to have a nice smooth surface. That tab left a nasty hole.
