Why change the exhaust from cat back and not just the muffler?

More air-flow and some people choose to relocate their muffler.

The potential drawback is that exhaust systems like intake systems are designed and tuned as a system, so if you the aftermarket manufacturer doesn't tune the
whole system, it may not perform as well as stock.

I've been wondering about this lately. If you got an aluminized system, could you not use high temp. paint on it to protect it from the elements. Of course going this route would mean a little more maintenance, but that seems to be an option.

I put a magnuflow muffler on it smaller and lighter, and better performance.
It is also higher up so it does not get smashed by rocks.cost 200.00 installed

Relocated my muffler from the stock area to the EVAP canister area. $60 Flowmaster and $0 labor, mated right to the stock exhaust pipe.
