Yeah, not a bad idea. You can just unclamp the muffler assembly and run a tail pipe straight out. Or just stick a "cherry bomb" muffler in there, should be much louder.

But definately check some other threads. It seems someone complained about less torque from reduced back pressure. Or maybe that was a header modsorry I can't remember.

Good luck.

I purchased the Gibson Stainless Dual Tip.. It A LOT louder! I like the fact that when I want it to be quiet it is. But when you tromp on it look out!
One other thing is it only took me 15 min to put it on! You cant beat that!

I would like and also nice loud. Am afraid that if i cut the rear muffler it will be a cheap loud. I don't really need the power increase but if that comes with it then good. surely i wouldn't want it to take away power. The Gibson dual tip is it expensive? and what comes with it? it is the loudest there is on the market? does it have a near to v8 sound or a 4cylinder racecar?

I mean does the gibson have a deep rumble that's loud? i think that would make it sound like a v8.

There is no way possible to make a V6 to sound like V8. It will, however, makes it deeper

Yea it wont ever sound like my mustang with Flowmaster Cat-Back. It does sound much better! Nice Deep tone and rumbles when at Idle. Like I said I like the fact that it can be loud when i want to hear it and quiet when don't.

Cost all depends on weather you get the stainless one or the aluminized one.. Check 4wd.com. They will match any price including the shipping cost. They have both in stock! All you need is a link to the website with the cheaper price.

Does anyone have the gibson dual in action? would really help on deciding or having a better clue on how it would sound.
