Default Exhaust Help

I'll go ahead and admit I really don't know anything about automotive parts. With that said I'm looking at getting a new exhaust; I want my jeep to sound as good as it looks. I like the cherry bomb. I've heard/read ups and downs about them but overall I like the sound better than others I've heard.

Obviously the 2 important stats are pipe diameter and body length. I drive an 09 JK.

As for pipe diameter am I going for a smaller size than my existing pipe so the cherry bomb will slide right in? Then clamp or weld(what is the better option here)? Or should I get the same size and just weld?

As for body length I have read that the smallest length (8") gives the best sound but the worst dip in mpg, is this true?

Last question, should I install this where my muffler exists now or have a shorter pipe and install it somewhere underneath the body of the jk?

I assume you are looking for something aggressive since you're looking at a glass pack. I might recommend the flowmaster super 10 for something with a little better tone and still very aggressive.
