I read on another forum, possibly all par? That Chrysler did extensive research & tuning on this exhaust system and gained 30 or 40 ft. lbs. of torque with it. I just used the spacers on mine. Ducati, for one & Husquvarna have used the loops for performance tuning over the years with good results.

For all the afore mentioned reasons I would NOT touch that exhaust loop.
Rest assured that the engineers with all their might didn't just "decide" to slap a loop on.

I installed my 2.5 inch AEV Dualsport suspension kit without any modification.

Drivers side right ahead of the crossover pipe 2012 model.

I have a 2012 I installed the mbrp cat back exhaust. I believe I did lose some mileage but I did not notice any power or torque loss.
