Default Exhaust loop skid

On the later model Wranglers there is a curly exhaust loop that hangs relatively low and unprotected on the driver's side. I purchased a transmision/oil pan skid from Rock Hard and was talking with them about a skid for the loop that would fit with the existing skid. They told me that they had looked into it but concluded that the reduced air flow might cause cracking in the exhaust. Has anyone purchased one of these skids and if so have you noticed any problems?

What's the deal with that loop anyway? Seems stupid, gotta be a better way to route the exhaust

It has to do with equalization on both sides of the engine.
Skid plate info too:

Good to know. I was hoping to get it from Rock Hard since their skid sticks out to the side a bit more then most and looks like it may overlap with the Skid Row loop skid. Might just have to order it and break out the metal saw

Has anyone used the exhaust skid in conjunction with aftermarket rock rails? It looks like it might be using the same bolt hole allot of them use on the frame.
