Default Exhaust Question

I was looking at putting a flowmaster 50 series on my 2007 JKU i was wondering if i had to get it welded on or if i could just bolt it on my jeep ?? and my other question was i really want to have the exhaust under the cab around the middle of the jeep not sticking out of the back who else has done this to their jeep and if so how did you accomplish it??? i would appreciate any input on this thanks

Flow master 40 welded under the driver side seat , pipe over the rear axle , had it done over a year ago ,also tried to keep it as close to rear tire , I just went to a local shop and said what I wanted done and that's it , no blackout or people dying for exhaust fumes , a lot of people will not recommend this setup , so run at your own option

I run as similar set up, but with a flowmaster muffler and a slightly longer turnout at the end.

It's easy to do and removing the crappy rear factory muffler means you won't destroy it when you wheel it!

My whole system is welded. However, they make wrap clamps you can use instead to avoid welding. just tighten them up good when doing your installation.

As stated you can have it welded or you can use band clamps. Many different companies, when they sell a cat back system, include these clamps.
Attached is a pic of the various types of clamps used on exhaust systems.
