Default Exhaust Recommendation?

I'm thinking about putting an exhaust system on my 08 Sahara. I'd love to hear suggestions. Do any of them noticeably increase power? How much louder do they make the JK?

I'd like to find something that makes this thing really sound mean. I'm looking for an aggressive sound. Suggestions?

Trying to make the 3.8 sound mean would be like trying to make Steve Urkel sound like Hulk Hogan...not gonna happen without some MAJOR surgery!

just kidding....basically from what I've read/researched myself, the Flowmaster 50 series SUV would probably be about the best "bang for the buck"

JK-KJ, that's hysterical! I'll settle for considerably meaner...

Is there a legit performance gain or is it all hype. Anyone have it installed? I'd love to hear about it.

LOL, I haven't done this on the JK yet but have on trucks I've had in the past and if there is a performance gain, I couldn't really tell. I think it's more of a sound thing than a performance thing.....just my opinion.

I'm not sure how well you can make a V6 sound. I personally felt the sound of flowmasters on a V6 sound dumb. I'm not sure how they sound on the JK though. But Flowmasters were once made out of steel and rusted pretty quickly (Maybe they're stainless now).

When my explorer's stock exhaust rotted out, I put a Borla catback on it. Honestly, it was the best sounding V6 i've heard (Next to those old chevy lumina stock exhausts... those are pretty nice for a v6). Plus the borla is stainless and has a million mile warranty.

I'm partial to borla!
