Exhaust Recommendations
I bought the Gibson Dual Cat Back about a year and a half ago. I now have three kids under 3 and two of the three go wheeling with me when I go. The tone at highway speed is horrible. With the top down it has got to be doing some damage to their little ears. So... I am looking to replace it as soon as possible but (like everyone else) not looking to spend a lot of cash. I am thinking under $400. I flipped through some pages in the catalogs but none of that helps as I can't hear samples. I like the grumble but do not sounding like a cheaply assembled Honda Civic between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm. Suggestions, sound samples, advice please?
Currently leaning toward MBRP.

The JeepSWAG muffler was especially designed to have a nice note, but not as loud as other aftermarket exhausts. More info here, including comparison sound clips ...
JeepSWAG Muffler
I really like mine. It sounds especially cool when tooling through canyons and you hear the mild reverberations. It has put a smile on the face of my son when we drove to San Diego through east county hill country, and with a friend when we drove through Cimarron Canyon, NM last week on our way back from Colorado. Yet, you don't even notice it on the Interstates.
I also promote this muffler because anyone who off-roads should respect the desire of others to have quiet--the typical mall-crawler, pick-up truck mufflers are unsuitable for wilderness travel.
