Hi guy's an gal's
I did use the search function but couldn't find a good answer so here it goes
I have a 12 sport, 2 door ,auto I am currently running a Rubicon Express 2" BB ( SPACER) KIT
I just bought a Rubicon Express 2.5 coil kit ( no shocks gonna use current shocks)
NOW I don't wheel anymore ( back issues) will I still need the exhaust spacers even though I'll be on road all the time ?

No.

The exhaust spacers are designed to give your front drive shaft more room when your front axle droops when off road and the axle is articulated. Since you don't wheel anymore, you won't be drooping, and you'll have no need for them.

Hahaha, I thought I recognized the screen name on another forum. Small world.

What about all the random dips and little hills while driving around. Speed bumps. Just cause youre not off roading, doesn't mean the front axle won't move.
I would still get them. Its added security for not that much money.

with the lift installed the exhaust gets real close to the drive shaft. I installed mine but I do wheel. I can see it heating the boot up. As it seemed like less than a inch or less away with the spacer installed it pushed out a couple more inches. I Personally would side with caution and install 60 or less for the kit over new boot for the axle.

A coworker has a 2.5" Tereflex coil lift on his JKU and doesn't use spacers. He's done this on the last 3 JK's he has owned. Doesn't wheel. Doesn't have a problem.

If you want to go through all that, go for it. If I had a JKU, I would just get the AFE Y-Pipe.

If you don't change the shocks then the axle can't droop down any more than it does now. I don't think you are changing the range of motion of your drive shaft with the new springs.

I also heard that if you do not disconnect your sway bar, there shouldn't be any issues since you will not articulate your axle that much.
