Exhaust spacers???
On my 2012 JK I have to install some BDS exhaust spacers, because with my height and droop the drive shaft boot just barely touches. My question is do I use a lot of heat or just cut the weld on nuts off the flanges. I have bolts and nuts for the job. I was thinking that getting rid of the welded nut might be easier, than down the road.
Don't recall cutting anything to separate my exhaust.
You realize the spacers also push the crossover down, right? It will cause interference with many of the exhaust skids out there.
Far better to have 2" sections of exhaust welded in on the flat runs to it goes back only and not down. Plus, anything not welded is prone to leak eventually.

The PBlaster route was what I was thinking. Then make those nuts cherry red. I looked at the exhaust spacers that are out there, and the BDS one are the shortest. They are also machined rather than bent pipe. I will have to take the mid-pipe out to cut it, so the over the axle pipe doesn't hit the rear track bar relocation bracket. I will also be using ample copper anti-seize on the bolt threads.
