ID:	559542I just installed a new Expedition core series bumper.

So here is my overal impression of the product.

Before purchasing the product I looked at many pictures over the internet of this bumper and I did not find many reviews but most of them was relatively positive so I pulled the trigger on this bumper. I really liked the design of this bumper and all his features.

The bumper comes with a basic instruction sheet and not very detailed; instructions are very poor, you need to figure out where each bolts and nut are going by yourself but it is not difficult it is just annoying they don't provide a better plan with the bumper.

The installation is easy and the hardest part is to cut the vacuum pump bracket and relocate the vacuum pump. The bumper fits well on the oem holes location.

The brackets provided for the oem fog light are not properly bent and I did have to work them in a way to decrease the angle so the fog light fits better.

Overal paint finish is not bad but I had a spot near on side of the bull bar that was not properly painted and there was a bit of rust so this is very disappointing for a brand new bumper.

The warn Zeon winch fit very well in this bumper.

The bumper have not properly built and you can see some flaws in the cutting and grinding on both sides of the bumper, this is unacceptable for a bumper of this price range.

so here is my final impression; the bumper have a great design but finish is not what you should expect for the price sold. I would not buy this bumper again.

I might sound difficult but I don't want to put subpar products on a 40K Wrangler.

This bumper has a great design but should be made with more care and a better quality control.

I would not buy any other products from expedition one also.

Sucks that you aren't totally happy with it, it does look good on the JK though. I do understand fully about not wanting to put mediocre parts on. I was looking at something as simple as a front diff skid plate earlier and the welds on that brand were terrible, my 4 year old could produce the same quality. Everyone is quick to charge an arm and a leg for their product, but only a few actually produce quality.

Sent from somewhere I really shouldn't be!

This could happen to any company, it shouldn't but it does.

What PIAA lights did you go with for your front there on the bumper?

Question about your Zeon winch, does your controller snap all the way on or just part way.

As I just installed my Zeon in my AEV bumper , controller did not seem very tight, seemed as it was only half way on , did not snap into place??

Just curious

It does not snap on, you just need to plug it and it should be tight enought to not come off by itself whlie winching.

I've been looking at this bumper and I'm still not swayed one way or the other but I do appreciate an honest review
