Default Expedition one rear bumper questions.

Hi everyone im interested in the expedition one rear bumper w/tire carrier. I have a few questions regarding the workman ship of this product wether or not it rattles, is it solid, is it WORTH the investment. Also i would like to hear the pros and cons regarding this bumper.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I just installed one of them and couldn't be happier. I am very happy with the fabrication, quality & function of the bumper. They changed the design of the carrier itself a little & it looks even better will ease the add on of can mounts etc.

Does the bumper rattle at all on bumpy roads?

No it hasnt rattled at all i just mounted it 2 weeks ago but it is quiet. The tire carrier preloads a little bit against the bump stops so i dont see it rattling any in the future. As you can probably see in the pic i ordered mine bare and had it powdercoated satin black to match my ARB front. They look good together.

Solid product. No rattles, etc. My only complaint is the lack of a basket and Wedco/Septer jerry can mounts.

I'm planning on getting the Expedition Ones and a set of TeraFlex RockGuard sliders. I'm hoping the powder coat finish will match the whole way around and the styling seems to be the same.

My questions are about the tire carrier and CB mount.

Does the tire carrier keep the tail gate from closing on you?

How does the CB mount work? Is there room for a second antenna?

Has anyone heard of plans to put a hi-lift jack mount on it?

Skippman, the CB antenna mount is for a single but i'm sure with a little creative engineering it could easily hold two, the gate will still close on you but not like you think, the friction from the link bushings (from carrier to gate) dampens the free swing of the gate, as far as the jack mount, they do make a kit for the jack and jerry cans but it bolts where the CB antenna mount hole is, not sure how they get around that. I just googled there link at www.exp-one.com and it seams to be broken ??? maybe try that link later for more info.

I'm not an expert by any stretch, just a satisfied customer.

Absolutely love it !
