Thumbs up extended brake lines issue. HELP appreciated!

I installed my OME HD kit with crown extended brake lines and when I jacked up the rear of the jeep with my hi lift, the rear brake lines were so tight that I nearly broke them off the caliper by accident. they weren't snagged on anything and were straight when stretched out. The rear tire didn't even get off the ground before they got tight. Spoke with Dave at Northridge and looked at wayolife's writeup and everything looks right. Dave also mentioned everything looked right. I am very confused... anyone know what the issue might be or have these same lines and offer a measurement on how long they should be?

take a look at my pics and let me know if you see something wrong.

Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

The second post/pic is mine. OME HD front, OME MD rear, with extended lines. Added these brackets after ripping the rear passenger side bracket off the frame. Could be that the extended lines we got from Dave aren't quite as extended as we thought...

Question

I realize I could lower the brackets, but I'm trying to figure out why my setup (OME HD with crowb extended brake lines) is having an issue when so many others such as wayolife are running the same setup w/o issues.

anyone have this setup and know what's going on?

ah sorry, I skimmed and didn't notice you have these brake lines and still needed to extend them. Did you have to lower the fronts as well?? thanks for the post btw.

Those lines just plain look too short. I don't see any faults in installation.

I did not add brackets to the front, as I still had some slack there. At some point I'll get around to adding the fronts also, just to be safe, but didn't have a choice with the rears.

Just noticed that you have the long travel shocks also, so you have an inch or two more droop than I do. Definitely look at 'longer' extended lines or brackets.

I think I'll catch Dave when he's back from Sema and see if I can get longer lines. did you contact him about yours?

No, 5 bucks at the hardware store was easier than swapping new lines in.

Call dave at northridge. I have the same brake lines and mine will get admittedly tight, but the axle will droop all the way before they are in danger of beaking. Maybe you just got a wrong set by accident. If they are the right ones maybe it is time to consider shorter shocks or limiting straps (been considering the latter myself).
