Default Or-Fab Carrier install trouble

Have any of you had trouble/issues with your carrier install. Could you give me an estimate on the length of the female extension that holds the tire...mine is way too short to extend thru the center of the spare of even engage the threaded end of the tbar.

Because of the offset of the pintlers, you'l need to get a different length T-handle. I contacted Or-fab and they sent me one out for the stock wheels I use in the winter. It works great

Both yhudson with Or Fab and David @ Northridge have both responded today to the fit issue/questions and some major powdercoating finish problems with the tire carrier I received yesterday. Big kudos to Or Fab and Northridge4x4. They are going to correct / fix the problems. Thanks guys!

Default Good to know

I'm currently installing mine, but my outdoor light just burned out, so back to it tomorrow. I had no idea I'd have to drill so many holes in the Jeep.

Default OR FAb online manual

Just saw this on the online manual I'm using for installing mine:

NOTE
These carriers are designed to carry an aftermarket
tire/wheel. To carry a stock tire/wheel, you need the
optional Bolt Plate Adapter, Kit # 87012.

I think they are changing it to an offset lock bar and longer t-handle now. At least thats what they sent me to fit a stock wheel.

If I had this plate on mine I would be able to run the ORO license plate relocation.... Looks like I am gonna subscribe to this thread to find out the results.

They will be sending a longer t-bar for the pintler offset. Where did you get the attached pic?

OR-FAB web site If you click on the buy now tab the picture of the item appears... I'm thinking about changing the T handle out for one of these.

Is it 5x5 though? When I looked at those awhile ago, they were only made 5x4.5 Although I m sure you could redrill it.
