Default OR-FAB Front Mid Width Bumper

Hey guys, I got a question I am hoping some of you may be able to answer. I am in the market for a new front bumper for my JK but I have been having a heck of a time trying to accommodate the local laws where I am. I need to have a front license plate and vary few bumpers available seem to allow you to attach the plate without it being too ugly. I have been looking at the ORF mid and it appears I could attach one to the lower portion of the bumper. I am wondering if anyone has this bumper or access to one where they could get me a measurement on the lower portion. I've attached a picture with the area outlined I think it would fit. Any help would be appreciated or if you have any other suggestions on a bumper you feel would allow me to attach the plate. I know I could go without but personally it's not worth the hassle. Thanks!

Default Me too!

I am dealing with the same issue, I am in-love with the LoD Signature Series Mid-Length though.... I am considering something like this: Smittybilt 4432 - Smittybilt Roller Fairlead License Plate Mount - Quadratec

Hey thanks for the link. Definitely something to keep in mind. This front plate issue is such a pain.

Agreed! At least we were able to get a decent personalized set "DRTY FUN".

The link I sent was one of the cheaper ones I've found. There are also some that stay on and flip out of the way. I'm not crazy about that though... seems like it would get in the way when winching and be more likely to get bent. I prefer the idea of removing it when wheeling.

Good-Luck!

You are in luck my friend! Mine was just delivered today. I'm not installing it until the weekend so for now it'll stay in the last layer of packaging, but I measured it through the thin plastic and it's as follows: (by the way I think the picture you posted is the full width... my mid width looks a little different than the one you posted).

Sorry for my awful Office Paint skills, but here's the mid-width. I can get you some good pictures after the install this weekend if you want. I just installed their rear bumper last weekend and love it. Would definitely recommend OR-Fab.

Default License Plate

If you need to mount a license plate to the front we can always make you a bracket to mount it to, just give us a call and we will be happy to help you out.

What type of license plate bracket can be made to fit the LoD full width front bumper with winch and bar?

Hoping to get it on tomorrow and can post some pics.

I just weighed it... weighed myself without it then holding it. Thing weighs 85 lbs.

Install wasn't too bad. Didn't realize I'd have to trim the crash bar so it'd fit flush but that wasn't an issue once I bought the right equipment (angle grinder). It was actually kind of fun cutting through all that metal.

All in all I'm very happy with it. I also got it on there without relocating the vacuum pump, something that the instructions state you have to do. If you run I winch I'm pretty sure you'll have to, but since I'm not planning on ever doing that it was one less step. It fits on there without affecting the vacuum pump in any way.
