just for giggles, I just went out and checked out my bends on the sand rail to see how they came out (been awhile since I actually took a good look at it).....

They aren't nearly as bad as I remember....the dimples are there, but honestly, from about 2 feet away they "disappear".....on the slighter bends, barely noticeable...although you can still feel them pretty well.....I couple runs over them with a sanding disc attached to a grinder, I think they will blend well without losing any material......

I say go for the HF bender.....and if it's not up to par, just take it back!
