Why not look for a take-off from someone who is upgrading their Jeep? Check the for sale section on this site.

I had a non-Rubicon D44, with LSD, taken off my JK a few weeks ago, in favor of locked Rubi 44s.

It's sitting at a shop in York, PA and I'm looking to unload the entire axle if you are interested. I am not looking for too much for it, just to get it out of their shop and not bring it home to my garage bc I can't envision myself ever using it... I mean, it's still a D44 housing, it still has brakes on it, and it has the LSD in it, so it's worth something, but I'm not looking for $500-1000+ for it. Maybe just a couple bills for it, complete?

id like to buy just the LSD if you could part with just that, but the D44 and everything would be useless to me.

Does this mean you don't like the brake-lock-differential feature of the traction control? It works well.

When a tire loses traction, the computer senses that and applies the brake on that wheel, thus driving torque back over to the wheel with traction. It does work well. With LSD, it works even better.

I will be taking mine out in the next month or so and I am replacing it with a detroit locker, at wich time it will be for sale for $100 (local pick- up). If you buy a used unit, I would replace the clutch packs before the install, mine were pretty worn at 17k miles when I did my gears.
