Default Fairlead centered v. Offset winch

Will I have any problems with re spooling if the winch is not lined up with the fairlead?

I installed a new Rugged Ridge Aluminum bumper and my Warn 9.5ti will not fit in the mounting holes provided. I was thinking of drilling new holes 1.5 inches offset from the the original holes. My concern is that now the winch is offset from the fairlead. Will this cause any problems?

If it is not centered your cable will bunch up on one side of the wench with a load on it. I wood go ahead and drill new holes to center the fairlead up with the winch.

You definitely want the fair lead centered. If you need to re-drill the holes to do so, then that is fine as long as there is enough material between the holes on the winch plate

Thank you, Gentlemen. I think I'm going to pick up a M8000 and see if that solves my clearance issues. I'll keep the 9.5ti as a back up or maybe get a cradle for it ans stick it on my hitch.
