Default Fairlead Question

I recently got the Poison Spyder Brawler Lite and a Warn M8000. I am no fan of having the giant roller fairlead hanging off the front. Can a Hawse Fairlead be used with steel line? Or can you only use synthetic line with that fairlead?

Yes you can use a hawse fairlead on wire rope. If you ever change to synthetic line though you will have to replace the fairlead as the wire is abrasive and will score the finish, which could cause small cuta in the rope which could lead to failure

Interesting...I've never seen this done. Seems like the wire rope would really tear up a hawse fairlead, most that I have seen are aluminum.

Not saying you can't, just never seen it.

Very cool. I'll have look that up. I've always found the hawse fairleads to look a lot better than the rollers.
